We can usually handle emergencies during the day at Millwoods East Veterinary Clinic. However the situation may arise that we already have a full workload. In that situation we would refer you to one of the emergency clinics in Edmonton. There are two. They are fully staffed 24 hours a day. If we have begun treatment to your pet for an emergency such as trauma suffered from being struck by a vehicle and your pet needs close monitoring then we would have you transfer your pet to the emergency clinic for overnight monitoring. If your pet is stable and we feel it will be alright to leave it overnight on an intravenous drip without constant monitoring then that can be done. However if you wish to transfer it to the emergency clinic for monitoring we will do the preparations for this.
