COVID-19 CLIENT RESOURCES

An update from Millwoods East in response to COVID-19

The health and well-being of your pet continues to be our top priority.  In order to continue to serve you and your pets through this pandemic, we have made changes to clinic policies to protect your health and the health of our animal caregivers. Please check back regularly or follow our Facebook and Instagram pages for further updates from our team.

Appointments:

Beginning on July 6th, you will once again be able to accompany your pet inside the clinic for their exams, wellness visits and vaccine appointments. We are so excited to see you all and we know your pets will love having you with them again too!

For your health, our health and in accordance with current public health measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, the following safety measures will be in place:

1.  We ask that only one person per family accompany their pet(s) inside the clinic.
2.  You will be required to wear a mask at all times inside the clinic and to sanitize your hands upon entering. Masks will be provided if you do not have one.
3.  Do not attend the clinic if you have COVID-19, have symptoms of COVID-19 or you have been in contact with someone who has, or has symptoms, of COVID-19.

If you are unable to comply with the above requirements, or if you simply aren’t comfortable coming into the clinic for your own health reasons, we will continue to offer curb-side service.  You will have the opportunity to be a part of your pet’s exam via ZOOM if you do choose curb-side service.

During your pet’s examination we will do our best to maintain social distancing. Given the nature of veterinary medicine, this will not always be possible. In these cases, we will ask an assistant into the room to hold your pet and have you observe the exam from an appropriate distance. These assistants are part of our small work cohort and help reduce the number of people we are exposed to. Please be patient with us as we work to find the best way to address your pet’s needs and adhere to public health measures.

If you arrive for your pet’s appointment and find a line-up to get into the clinic, please call us to let us know you have arrived. We will have a staff member retrieve you and direct you through an alternate entrance.

Please be aware that ALL appointments for nail trims, anal gland expressions and lab work will remain curb-side. Remain in your car and call us when you arrive.

Additional Information:

We continue to request non-cash payment and will offer debit/credit payment inside the exam room.

Traffic in the clinic will be one-way and you will be directed out through an alternate exit.

Please know that we have increased the frequency of clinic cleaning and sanitization, especially all high frequency touch points, to keep us all healthy.

Pet Food and Medication Pick-up

Please continue to order online or call ahead so we can have your order ready. Call us when you arrive if you would like curb-side service. If you feel comfortable coming inside, we would be happy to help you. To allow for social distancing we are permitting 4 people into the waiting area at any given time. Please use the markers on the floor to maintain social distancing and follow the one way arrows.
