What is Laser Therapy?
A scientifically proven way to reduce your pet’s pain and inflammation.
How does it work?
Photobiomodulation, commonly called laser therapy, targets your pet’s damaged cells and helps them regenerate faster. Much like sunlight helps plants produce energy, laser therapy helps energize your pet’s cells.
This drug-free, side-effect free treatment can be used as an adjunct to your pet’s prescribed treatment plan. A hand piece is passed over your pet’s injury, depending on your pet’s condition, a contact or non-contact applicator will be used. No clipping or shaving is required.
What does the laser therapy feel like?
Your pet will feel a gentle, soothing warmth (like a hot stone massage) as their pain is eased. Most pets are very relaxed during treatments, some even fall asleep.
There are several conditions that will benefit from having laser therapy performed on them. Here are a few examples:
– Post Operative Surgeries
– Lick Granulomas, Acute
– Urinary Tract Disorders
– Gingivitis and Periodontal Disease
– Arthritis
– Wound Repair
– Fractures
Please call us for a more extended list of categories that laser therapy can treat.
Safety First!
Everyone needs to have protective eyewear on when a laser therapy treatment is being performed, this includes the pets!
We have specific laser-safe eyewear called “Doggles” that will be provided during your session for yourself and your furry companion.
Please note that normal Doggles purchased online are not laser-safe, please allow us to provide them.
Feel free to take a photo of how cute your pet looks after the session is completed. After all, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”
